The Lower Manya Krobo Municipal Assembly has confirmed Mr Jacob Fredrick Kwame Acolatse as the new Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).
Mr Jacob Acolatse secured 30 votes out of 45 representing 66.67%.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Acolatse called for co-orporation among the assembly members and urged them to do away with division in the assembly.
The MCE expressed his gratitude to the President for his nomination and promised to serve the people of Lower Manya Krobo Municipality selflessly.
The Deputy Eastern Regional Minister, Ms Mavis Ama Frempong, congratulated the MCE on his confirmation and urged him to corporate with the assembly members for the development of Lower Manya Krobo.
Ms Frempong cautioned the MCE to put the interest of the people first since he represents the president in the Municipality.
Nene Asafoakye Oklah and Manye Maku I both government appointees were sworn into office by Mr Justice Asmah Akwasi Asiedu of Odumase circuit court.
The election of the Presiding Member was adjourned since none of the two candidates secured requisite number of votes.
Mr Evans Nuernor Nash secured 15 votes out of 45, Mr Evans Tettey Tamartey had 25 votes and five votes were rejected .
