Accra, Aug 14, GNA – Access Bank Ghana on Thursday, launched a campaign to encourage the culture of savings and reward new and existing customers who buy into the culture with exciting incentives.
The campaign dubbed, ‘Big Deal’, aims to inspire members of the public to sign up to a range of flexible savings and current account options at the Bank to secure their financial future.
Existing customers are also expected to improve their financial wellbeing by increasing their savings deposits.
Mr Stephen Abban, Group Head of Personal Banking, Access Bank Ghana said the campaign, is a demonstration of the bank’s commitment to promote financial inclusion by ensuring that financial services are available to all Ghanaians.
‘Access Bank aims to put the power of banking into the hands of all consumers in this country and beyond. We desire to break down the structural and educational barriers that hinder access to banking.
‘Through the Big Deal campaign, we are giving Ghanaians more reasons to use savings as a tool for financial empowerment,’ he said.
In Ghana, 44 per cent of the adult population is unbanked and excluded from credit, insurance, savings accounts and other formal financial services.
‘Access Bank believes that by deepening engagements with the general public including the unbanked and undeserved segments of the market, the bank can support people to lift themselves out of poverty, support jobs for those around them and share in the economic growth of the country,’ he said.
‘As a Bank, we understand the difficult times that we live in, so we are helping both families and small business owners to secure their future through flexible savings and current account products that promote wealth creation.
‘We are also offering lasting rewards to improve their living conditions and give them the little comforts of life,’ said Dolapo Ogundimu, Managing Director, Access Bank Ghana.
Spanning a period of three months, the Big Deal campaign brings the importance of saving to the fore, while giving consumers the chance to win various amazing prizes.
There will be two mini draws in the months of September and October to reward early adopters of the campaign with winners taking home prizes, including LED flat screen TV and a full fitted kitchen, blenders and fridges, among others.
The grand prize being a luxury home furnishing in addition to many other household appliances such as flat screen televisions, washing machines, air-conditions, refrigerators, microwave ovens, food processors among others.
Existing and new customers are required to deposit GH â‚µ 200 into their account and grow their balances over the three-month period to join the expected 200 customers who will be rewarded with interesting exciting prices.
To qualify for any of the exciting draws, customers must maintain a minimum of GH â‚µ 500 for at least 30 days in their account at the time of the draw.
Access Bank Ghana is one of the fastest growing banks in Ghana, having demonstrated consistent growth in its financial performances over the past four years.
The bank is focused on setting standards for sustainable practices that will engender prosperity for stakeholders.
The Big Deal will run from August 14, till the end of November and would reward more than 200 customers with amazing prices.
