The management of ABKB Records, an Accra-based music record label, has declared its readiness to support the showbiz industry in Ghana to overcome its challenges.

ABKB Records has consistently delivered great music and built a strong image for a number of Ghanaian artistes and has also become one of the major forces in advertising, events and artistes management and marketing in the entertainment industry, with an extensive client list of both corporate and entertainment outfits.

According to the management of ABKB Records, one of its objectives is to develop the talents in the youth as well as groom them as future music icons to meet the challenges ahead of them, and also create job opportunities for the players in the creative industry.

The records, which is under the leadership of  Bishop Ishmael Nii Otoo and Okyere-Darko Kofi had already signed on a number of artistes which include K.K Kabobo, Mama T, Bennedicata, Nyame Akyedie, among others.

It would soon sign on 10 artistes on its label every year, starting from this year, and also organise a number of reality shows in some parts of the country, to unearth musical talents.

One of its objectives is to promote, manage, develop artiste image, record sales and bring out the star in Ghanaian artistes.

A source close to the record label told BEATWAVES in an interview that ‘we are bringing nothing but the best of music. As a record label, we want to make sure we break boundaries. We are going to set a record in the Ghanaian music industry.’

BEATWAVES has gathered that ABKB would be releasing a number of musical albums which are currently ready in the studio of the record label.

The source told BEATWAVES that ‘we could make the world stand up and notice Ghana and Africa in a different light, culturally. The artistes on our record label are amazing. We will make sure we get them the needed platform to showcase their talents.’

He said ABKB is made up of totally committed music professionals who are creative in marketing solutions through events, radio and television production.

The source stressed that the outdooring ceremony of the artistes on the ABKB Records label is expected to attract a large number of stakeholders in the music and movie industries, and some selected showbiz personalities including seasoned radio presenters who have contributed toward the success of the Ghanaian music industry.
