Abducted School Girls: Military Has A Message For Nigerians
The military has called on Nigerians to pray for the successful release of the schoolgirls who were abducted by Boko Haram from Government Secondary School, Chibok, Borno State during a night raid over two weeks ago.
The military spokesperson speaking during an interview said though they cannot disclose details of all their actions, they are working hard to secure the girls release and Nigerians should pray that the outcome of all their efforts yield positive results.
He explained that no information gotten about the missing girls is being ignored but rather they are being duly analysed and acted upon accordingly.
Mr Olukolade claims that a deal is “within reach” in the release of the girls, adding that the concerns and anxiety from all quarters is quite understandable.
According to reports yesterday from a U.K. based media organization, a hostage negotiator, who is in direct contact with the kidnappers had disclosed that a deal for the safe release of the girls is being finalized.
There were also reports yesterday that the girls had been split into groups and ferried to neighbouring countries where they are being married off.

from their school and they are yet to be united back with their families who have not ceased to worry over their whereabouts and well being. Though about 43 had escaped from the abductors and are now back home, the others are still being held hostage.
Many Nigerians and Nigerian groups have been calling on the government to act fast so as to bring back the missing girls. Some women stormed the National Assembly in Abuja today while another group has blamed the Northern leaders for the abduction of the girls.
