…Set To Launch Latest Album On Sunday
Madam Comfort Adu, popularly called ‘Abaawa Connie’ in the gospel music circles, has chalked 40 solid years, since venturing into the Gospel Music Industry. To give praise, honor and adoration to God, Abaawa Connie would on Sunday, launch her latest album, ‘Sua Aseda’, at the Abeka Presby Church, in Accra. The event is expected to be graced by high profile gospel musicians from across the country and beyond.
The 55-year-old woman started her music career in her early days when she joined the Bethany Singing Band.
She later formed the Joyful Soul Singers in the 1970s and thrilled lovers of gospel music to number of good tunes.
‘Abaawa Connie’, who is also a preacher of the word of God, later formed the Born Again Gospel Band in the 1980s.
With twelve albums to her credit, some of her popular songs are; ‘Ye Twen Wo’, ‘Adamfo Pa’, ‘Bo Wo Din’ and ‘Kom Na Maye’.
One unique thing about ‘Abaawa Connie’s songs are that they touch the inner core of listeners as far as the word of God is concerned.
In a terse answer to what will happen on Sunday, she said that God has done a lot for her and that is why she is expressing her gratitude to Him with the unique launching of her new album.
