The impasse between Godwin Attram and Great Olympics has been settled after both parties held a meeting.

The club were in the news for all the wrong reasons after their playing body split into two as one section trained under Attram and the other under newly appointed Tom Strand.

This put their Premiership tie against Liberty Professionals into doubt as no one was sure which team would have made it to Dansoman.
However, after holding a meeting with the management, Attram has resolved to put the issue to bed and seek the common interest of improving the fortunes of Olympics.

“A meeting was held this morning to resolve the issue. Lots of people have been calling me, very big people for that matter to tell me that I’ve got my own future at stake, therefore I should take it into consideration and resolve the issue, he said on E-TV show.

“I don’t have any problem with Great Olympics because His Excellency (Amarkai Amarteifio) told me this morning to retrieve my resignation and what I said on the airwaves and I agreed. I respect him a lot and pleaded to him to come out and speak about this brouhaha and whenever he’s done I will also come out and announce my decision of retrieving my resignation from the club claim.”

The former Ghana international was hopeful the players will look beyond this week’s event and help the course of Olympics.

“Talking about the game on Sunday, I don’t have any option than to wish the team well for the match but I’m pleading with the fans that my players who were at the centre stage of this whole issue will not take part in the game because they need to clear their minds after all that has happened in these past few days and after that we will all come on board and help Great Olympics achieve their goals,” Attram deduced.
