One of the leading financial institutions in the country, Groupe Ideal, has pledged support for the University of Cape Coast, towards the establishment of its School of Economics.

President of Groupe Ideal, Dr. Nii Kotei Dzani disclosed this at Cape Coast in the Central Region, where he donated over 30 computers and laptops as well as three printers valued at over GHs90,000, to the Department of Economics on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

Dr. Kotei Dzani who is also a member of the Council of State, noted that the establishment of the School of Economics will help bring a lot of change to the way people understand issues affecting the economy of the country.

“We can develop a country by training the mindset of the people to value patriotism”, he stated, stressing, “it is not money that make up the value of society”.

According to him, “the economic fundamental of the country is weak, so we are in a country where the politicians toy with our mind”.
