Dancehall act Shatta Wale is not amused by jokes being shared about his wife’s new pub which they call a “container”.
The artiste is not pleased with the attempts to belittle his wife’s effort. He emphasised he is absolutely proud of his wife’s exploits and does not find it funny that people are seeking to make a mockery of her business.
Shatta Wale’s wife, Diamond Michelle Gbanogah, popularly known as Shatta Michy, over the weekend opened her new pub located in East Legon, to the general public.
Instead of receiving congratulatory messages, many in their social media posts laughed at the pub. Some described as a ‘kiosk,’ while others said the pub looked like a ‘container’.
“The so-called Diamonds Pub & Grill SHATTA WALE has been making noise about! Upon all his mystery $1M mansion this is what he could set up for his baby mama. One of my focal lenses who happens to be a citizen of East Legon was there to spy on how the atmosphere was at the opening of this over-hyped kiosk and this is what my anonymous peep has, ‘I was there yesterday. The place was very dull and almost no one cares to buy a drink’. He added ‘People were just standing there watching’. Smh – I was speechless #ShowbizTidbits’” one person said on Facebook.
But Shatta Wale will have none of the criticisms. He gave a swift response in a Facebook post.
“When I started they said my beats will take me nowhere but I never listened to them.Today the same beats have bought me a mansion, 2 other mansions (building in progress) ..Just yesterday my wife told me she wanted to start a small business which i am supporting her and all Lazy people. can say is its a container lol .#Ayoo We like it and please don’t stop criticizing cuz that will make us build the biggest club in Ghana right under your … nose. Thank you for reading !! Foolish bloggers !!!”
