A fit body can handle academic pressures; Lexis Bill walks with UG students

Hundreds of students resident in the Hilla Liman Hall of the University of Ghana joined the host of award-winning Drive Time show on Joy FM, Lexis Bill for one of his numerous fitness walks over the weekend.

They came out in their numbers early Saturday dawn to walk around the campus early morning to burn some calories.

After walking from the Liman Hostel to TF hostel and back which totals to about 12 kilometres, they got group to enjoy some electrifying aerobics session.

Patrons were not just students but some of the members of the general public, as well as corporate bodies, supported the fitness walk.

Among those who supported Lexis Bill was the host of Hitz FM morning show, Kleff Maxwell Justice popularly called KMJ.

The host with the most who is also the brain behind ‘A walk with Lexis Bill’ spoke to the students about the need to exercise frequently and how come fitness is directly related to academic performance.

“If you are fit, would be able to study better, rest better as well as handle the academic pressures better,” he told them.

The excited hall tutor said the fitness walk was one of the biggest health walks and gathering the hall has witnessed.

Some of the corporate bodies that partook and supported the walk distributed some souvenirs to all participants.  

              

Rexona brand manager, Vanessa Kavi, commended the efforts and reiterated her brand’s willingness to support such causes.
