A woman who is believed to be the oldest in Nepal, at 112 years, has revealed a surprising fact about her life – she has been smoking cigarettes for 95 years.
Batuli Lamichhane, of Nuwakot, whom local residents claim could be as old as 114 says she smokes up to 30 cigarettes per day.
She attributed her longevity to being active.
“You will probably die earlier. People of this modern age have too much stress. And those who do not work or are idle in their old age won’t live long. If you study a lot and work hard, you’ll live a long life. Be happy!” she told TIG Media.
