Amoawi (Ash), Sept 20, GNA – The funeral of
Obaapanin Mary Owusu, who died at the ripe age of 105, would be held in Amoawi
in the Offinso South Municipality on Saturday, October 15.

The deceased, also known as Maame Adwoa
Kwaa, was the mother of Mr. J.K. Agyeman-Duah (retired educationist), Mrs.
Beatrice Sampong (rtd Matron), Dr. Owusu Achiaw-Duah (former Offinso South MP),
Mrs. Comfort Mensah Yeboah (rtd educationalist), Nana Appau Duah, (former
General Manager, Ghana News Agency), Dr. Kwame Owusu (Germany), Mrs. Rosina
Owusu Ansah (USA), Mr. Kingsley Afriyie Duah (USA) and Ms. Joyce Agyeman Duah
(Teacher).

The funeral service would be held at the
Dunwell Methodist Church in Amoawi after which her mortal remains would be laid
to rest at the Methodist cemetery.

The family would gather in the afternoon at
the Amoawi school park for the final part of the funeral celebration.

The thanksgiving service comes off the next
day – Sunday, October 16, at the Amoawi Dunwell Methodist Church.
