The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described the 2016 policy document of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a “scam”, thus warning Ghanaians not to fall for it.
The NDC, over the weekend led by its flagbearer, President John Dramani Mahama, launched its manifesto enumerating several policies it will pursue when it is retained come December 7.
Addressing a press conference Monday to expose the untruths in the NDC manifesto, the Director of Policy of the NPP for the 2016 polls, Boakye Agyako admonished Ghanaians not to fall for the NDC’s lies.
According to him, every single item contained in the NDC’s manifesto are “phantom” and that the electorate must critically assess the document before making their choice in the forthcoming polls.
In spite of President Mahama’s highlighting of his various achievements ahead of the polls, Mr. Agyarko believed that he woefully failed and a second term for him will further plunge the country into economic chaos.
“When you speak at random to people around the country, it appears their concerns, problems and anxieties are the same. Unemployment, bad roads, the lack of decent and affordable accommodation and the high cost of living as well as the falling standards in education and health,” he said.
