Veep tasks NDC supporters to propagate party manifesto

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, at the weekend tasked supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to endeavour to widely propagate the party’s Election 2016 manifesto to enhance the fortunes of the Party in the December 7, polls.

Sunyani, Sept 18,
GNA – Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, at the weekend tasked supporters of
the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to endeavour to widely propagate the
party’s Election 2016 manifesto to enhance the fortunes of the Party in the
December 7, polls.

Describing the NDC
Manifesto as “a product of compromise and analysis”, Mr
Amissah-Arthur said “our manifesto cannot vote” hence the need for
the supporters to reach out to, and explained the content to all eligible
voters in the electioneering.

“The NDC has
progressive ideas contain in a manifesto that can bring peaceful change in our
country”, Mr Amissah-Arthur told scores of NDC supporters who converged at
the Sunyani Coronation Park at the launching of the Party’s Election 2016 manifesto
on Saturday, September 17.

He said within five
years development had witnessed significant improvement in all sectors and the
NDC supporters ought to sell these achievements to serve as a guide for the
electorate to vote and retain the government in the general election.

The Vice President
observed that since President John Dramani Mahama gave a highlight of the
Party’s Manifesto the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) “is
using figures to bamboozle and deceive the electorate”.

Vice President
Amissah-Arthur said the NDC had position itself well to counteract the spurious
analysis of the NPP at all Party platforms.

Mr Johnson Asiedu
Nketiah, the General Secretary of the NDC said: “The successful launch of
the NDC Manifesto is the manifestation of the burial of the great elephant, a
symbol of the NPP”.

He said the NDC as a
social democrat party is poised to build a welfare society that cares for each
other, and entreated Ghanaians to vote and retain the government in the general
election.
