Ho, Sept. 17, GNA –
The Ho Technical University (HTU) has matriculated its first batch of 13
graduate students of the Master of Technology programmes.
The programmes are
being run in collaboration with the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and
Sakyi, Vice Chancellor, Ho Technical University, in a speech read on his
behalf, said the highly practical oriented programme would be done on intensive
sandwich semester basis, with courses delivered through models by seasoned
experts and professors from the KNUST and HTU.
He said the
programme is in line with the mission of HTU to provide career focused and skills
training to the highest level possible.
Prof. Sakyi said
the University has embraced the challenged thrown to it by Government to become
a university and is ready to provide leadership to other polytechnics in
running higher degrees in the fields of technical and vocational education.
He announced a
scholarship package for the first female student to enroll for the programme.
He urged the
students to be of good conduct and discipline.
