Ghana’s leading telecom brand, MTN has once again affirmed its relationship with the chiefs and people of the Asogli Traditional area in the Volta region, as they mark their annual Yam festival.
The telecom giant, which has in past nine years supported the Asogli Yam festival celebration, on Friday presented a cheque of Ghc 15,000 in addition to Ghc 1,000 worth of airtime and a drink hamper towards this year’s event.
A team from MTN, led by the Southern Regional Senior Sales Manager, David Gyimah-Boadu presented the items when they paid homage to the paramount chief of the Area, Togbe Afede XIV at the forecourt of the Asogli State palace in Ho.
According to Mr. Gyimah-Boadu, the gesture is line with MTN’s commitment towards promoting the authentic African cultural values and principles.
He also commended Togbe Afede and the entire Asogli state for their support for the MTN brand in the last 20 years and assured of the company’s continuous support towards the growth and development of Asogli.
The 2016 Asogli Yam festival is themed ‘‘let’s unite for peace, stability and development’, will be climax on Saturday September 17, 2016.
