(KAMSBERG), Oyibi -Naneman-Saduasi- Bawaleshi Area Council(ONSBAC) and Zenu
-Kubekro-Katamanso -Afriye- Santeo Area Council (ZEKKAS)
The workshop aimed
at educating the local leaders on the principles of the new budgeting system
and their application to public sector budgeting.
Mr Noble Atsu
Ahadzi, the District Budget Analyst, who facilitated the workshop, said the
Assembly would be adopting the PBB in preparing its budget and targets for the
2017 fiscal year.
The P.B.B is a
result base policy tool which focuses on
output, unlike the
previous Activity Base Budgeting system (A.B.B) which focuses rather on the
input, which has been in existence since 1998.
Its adoption, he
said, would help improve fiscal management and service delivery outcomes across
all sectors of local government.
