Lucky Mensah together with some NPP Supporters
Highlife musician Lucky Mensah will embark on a campaign tour of the 10 regions for the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its flag bearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The ‘Nkratuo’ hit maker, who worked with NDC during the 2008 and 2012 general elections and switched camp to join NPP, said the tour is aimed at canvassing votes for the party ahead of the December polls.
“I’ve dedicated myself to do this campaign to help Nana Addo for NPP to win this year’s election,” Mensah was quoted by Zion Felix.
According to Mensah, the tour will be launched on Sunday, October 2 at Georgia Hotel in Kumasi together with an official outdoor of his recently released song for the NPP, ‘Ye Se Samu’ which will be followed by a float on October 3, through the streets of Kumasi.
Luck Mensah has come under a series of criticisms lately after he switched camp from the NDC to the NPP, during the 2008 elections he released the ‘Come Back to NDC’ track for the NDC, which became one of the party’s official campaign songs.
This was followed by a controversial satirical song titled ‘Nkratuo‘ years later aimed at sending a message through one ‘Tawiah’ to tell his big brother ‘Atta’ that things are not going well and that the situation has gone very bad.
