I’m back with more fire – Ako Gunn

Godwin Ako Gunn, one of the Montie trio jailed for mudslinging judges of the Supreme Court has stated they are back to continue from where they left off.

The Supreme Court two months ago sentenced Mr. Gunn, Salifu Maase and Alistair Tairo Nelson to four months prison term after it found them guilty of contempt.

They were, however, granted pardoned by President John Dramani Mahama a month after their incarceration—as the president had the remainder of jail term remitted.

Their remission followed a petition signed and presented to the president by stalwarts of the NDC.

One of the three Montie FM ex-convicts, Godwin Ako Gunn, has indicated that Ghanaians should expect more political “fire” from him from now until the December 7 elections following his release from jail.

Describing their experiences to supporters of the NDC Friday in Winneba in the Central Region, Mr. Gunn said they were toughened by their one month stay behind bars and that they are back to continue from where they left off.
“For the love of the National Democratic Congress, some three people went there (Nsawam Prisons), they came back stronger, and we set a record. … From Monday, you will hear from us and we are back – more fire, more Gumbe!” he told his audience.

He also used the platform to laugh off claims by section of the general public that they never spent a day in prison rather.

Urging Ghanaians to retain the NDC in the firthcoming elections , he said “the vision of Mr Mahama should be supported since he has the interest of Ghanaians at heart.”
