Customs Officer honoured for high sense of duty

Mr Kwame Ashigbi, a Junior Collector Assistant III, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), has been honoured for exhibiting a high sense of duty at the Aflao/Lome border.

Aflao (V/R), Sept. 7, GNA – Mr Kwame Ashigbi,
a Junior Collector Assistant III, Customs Division of the Ghana Revenue
Authority (GRA), has been honoured for exhibiting a high sense of duty at the
Aflao/Lome border.

Mr Ashigbi’s exhibition of professionalism as
head of the anti-smuggling squad at the border won him an award and a special
recognition by Togbui Agokoli IV, President of the Togolese National House of
Chiefs.

He was described as meticulous and exceptional
in a citation presented to him by Togbui Dzidzoli Detu X, on behalf of Togbui
Agokoli and the Ewe Union at a short ceremony at Aflao.

Mr Ashigbi was also commended for resolving
petty border crossing disputes and helping travelers to cross the border
effortlessly.

Mr Ashigbi in an interview with the Ghana News
Agency (GNA) expressed gratitude to the Ewe Union for the recognition.
