Outspoken rap star, Kanye West, has declared his ambition to design school uniforms in a bid to help ease prejudice and inequality.
In an interview with TMZ as to whether there were any ambitions he omitted from his MTV Video Music Awards speech at the weekend, Kanye said he hoped to design clothes for school kids in his home city of Chicago, explaining that the move would be “a starting point for eventually ending classism and bullying worldwide”.
It wouldn’t be the hip-hop star’s first venture into apparel, having previously designed clothing and shoes for Nike, Adidas and his own tour.
Kanye entertained viewers at this year’s MTV VMAs at Madison Square Garden in New York City as he poked fun at Taylor Swift, who he has clashed with on many occasions but most recently over his new single ‘Famous’ and also referenced his wife Kim Kardashian West’s sex tape.
The 39-year-old star said: “I am Kanye West and it feels really great to say that – especially this year. I came here to present my new video but before I do that I’m going to talk.”
