If you can’t buy it, make it!
We may not be Laolu Sebanjo who can draw on anything. But we can turn our plain white sneakers into colourful ones. We may not get paid for doing this but our style will benefit from some colour infusion.

You need white sneakers, dye (any colour), deep bowl, water, makeup sponge (aka blender) and wipes. You’d end up with sneakers that look like this:
Cool, right? Let’s get started then:
1. Wash sneakers
First, you wash your sneakers. Once you’re done, allow your sneakers dry for a bit. You need the white sneakers to be damp. If it’s too wet, the colours won’t take. Too dry and colour still won’t take. Make sure they are damp and nice.
2. Prepare dyes
Prepare your dyes. If you’re using more than one colour, mix each colour with the appropriate amount of water in separate bowls.
3. Sneakers dip
Dip your sneakers into the bowl containing the dyes. Dip the sneakers into the dye mixture. Use your wipes to clean the dye from the soles. If the colour isn’t even, use the makeup sponge to apply more dye till the colour is even.
4. Alternative process
An alternative to the sneaker dip is using the makeup sponge to apply the dye onto the sneakers. It takes time but it is not as messy as the sneaker dip. And you don’t need to use wipes. Also, you have to mix the dyes with a little amount of water for this process.
Allow your sneakers to dry for 6-8 hours. Or you can dry them over night.
