The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will be launching its manifesto this month, spokesperson for the party’s flagbearer, Mustapha Hamid, has divulged.
That, notwithstanding, most of the content of the yet-to-be unveiled policy document are already in the public domain, he added during an interview with Accra FM Friday.
“We have told you that somewhere in this September, we will launch the manifesto. But all the things that we have been saying are part of our manifesto. All the big ideas in the manifesto are the ones we are putting out and the rest will just be detailed explanations of these major polices.
“Even though the launch is important, Ghanaians now have a fair idea of what is contained in the manifesto. In this September, God-willing, we will find a correct date [to launch it],” Mr Hamid said.
The governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) also revealed that it will launch its manifesto on September 17 in the Brong Ahafo region.
NDC campaign spokesperson Joyce Bawa Mogtari said, “our [NDC] manifesto is ready; the president continues to undertake several other engagements so we have finally agreed that we’ll be launching our manifesto on the 17th of this month…so for our part we are ready to go.”
