Nasia (N/R), Sept. 1, GNA – Nana Addo Dankwa
Akufo Addo, the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has
appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for him to win the December 7
elections.

He said: “I have come to you the first time,
the second and this is my third time, please give me your mandate by voting for
me in this year’s elections to transform the country for the benefit of all.”

Nana Akufo Addo made the appeal at Nasia in
the West Mamprusi District of the Northern Region when he addressed the chiefs
and people, as part of activities marking his campaign tour.

The NPP candidate is being accompanied by Dr
Mahamudu Bawumia, Vice Presidential Candidate of the Party and Alan
Kyeremanteng, a leading member as well as other bigwigs of the party.

The four-day campaign tour, which started at
Bunkpurugu in the Bunkpurugu constituency has so far taken the team to various
places including Yunyoo, Nakpanduri, Nalerigu, Walewale, Janga and Savelugu
where he was met by enthusiastic crowds.

Nana Addo promised the people that the party
would revive the country’s economic conditions and scale-up rural development
when given the nod.

He said the country’s economy has been
worsened by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) through poor governance.

He said the NPP would use the resources of the
State for the interest of the people.

He claimed that the NDC lack vision for the
progress of the country and pleaded with the people to vote massively for the
NPP in the December polls.

“Ghana is not poor, it is bad leadership that
has made us poor, we will change that and make everyone prosperous”, he said.

Dr Bawumia said the NPP would initiate
infrastructure for poverty eradication policy and rely on existing funds
through national budget to speed development in rural communities.

He said each community has its needs and
challenges and would therefore give the people opportunity to plan and make
decisions for their development needs.

He said the party would focus on rural
development to ensure that every part of the country has its share of the
national cake.

He said it would restructure the National
Health Insurance Scheme and improve teacher and nursing training institutions
for efficient development.
