GhIE Launches Engineering Excellence Awards

The Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE) has launched its prestigious annual Engineers Excellence Awards (EEA) 2016 to honour the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations.

Engineering students, who have demonstrated great potential in research in engineering in the country, would also be awarded.

This year’s awards is scheduled to take place on Saturday, 12th November 2016 at the Engineers Centre, Roman Ridge, Accra.

Commenting on this year’s EEA Awards, the President of Ghana GhIE, Ing. Dr. Kwame Boakye said the 2016 Awards committee has expanded the awards categories to include Engineering Research, Engineering Evangelism and the study of Engineering subjects by young people.

 

Award Categories

 

The Award Categories are Practitioners/Projects Categories; Research & Academic-Industrial Category; Most Published Author; Engineering Concepts and Innovations; Engineering Business Management; Implementation of Engineering Solutions and Distinguish Woman in Engineering Excellence.

The rest are Students and Young Innovators Category, Innovation: Applied Science & Mathematics –JHS and SHS; Early Childhood Awareness & Engineering Potential; Outstanding Engineering Knowledge & Exemplary Achievement; Public Awards and Engineering Evangelism.

All nominations for the 2016 EEA Ghana will be examined by a panel of assessors.

Nominations, which were opened on 2nd August 2016, would close on 15th September 2016.
