I don’t know if I’m alone in this, but I’ve noticed routine bores me easily.
Take for example weddings, the groom is expected to wear a Tux while the bride is expected to adorn herself in a dashing white dress. So Cliche!!!
Recently someone asked me this question “Why do Nigerians hold white weddings? Do the so called Whites hold traditional weddings?”
The Ankara print has widely been attributed to Africa and I’m most thankful that we’re beginning to accept our heritage. And also finding versatile ways of fusing both traditional with modern. I believe that’s where the word ‘contemporary’ was coined, right?
These Ankara dresses are eye-catching and gradually becoming a trend. Just so you know, it’s not the regular ones you’re used to. These I like to call the Contemporary Ankara Dress. P.S they make good alternatives for wedding dresses.
