PHOTOS of the Policemen who were Arrested for Stealing Cars

NsromaMedia.Com has photos and videos of the two police officers of the Accra Police Regional Bravo SWAT Unit who were arrested with four other civilian for their involvement in a series of car snatching operations. Apparently the brother of one of them is a Pentecost Elder.

The suspects are General Corporal Bismarck Ntim, 32 years; Lance Corporal Francis Opoku Gyau, 29; Michael Adjei Donkor, 36; and Nana Ntim Gyakari, 28. The rest are George Eshun, 29; and Urey Harris Koufi, 32. However, Erasmus Adama Nketia, a member of the syndicate, is on the run.

This was one of them during his interrogation:

The Accra Regional Police Commander, ACP Timothy Yosa Bonga, stated that on July 15 at about 4:30pm, Michael hired the services of a K1A Picanto cab with registration number GW 7087-15 from Argonne Swedru to Accra.

The driver, who is the victim in the case, claimed he charged Michael GHC180, which he agreed to pay.

According to him, upon reaching Accra at 8:30pm, Michael instructed the driver to drive him to the Cocoa Clinic at Kaneshie for his boss to pay the fare.

When they got to the place, Bismarck, Francis and Erasmus Adama Nketia, who has been tipped to be an official of the Bureau of National Investigations- (BNI) and the alleged boss, arrived in a private Nissan Almera vehicle with an unregistered number plate to meet Michael and the taxi driver.

At Cocoa Clinic, Michael, Erasmus and the driver were engaged in an argument over the fare, which Michael had earlier on agreed to.

During the confrontation, they ordered Michael and the driver to join their Nissan Almera car, leaving the taxi behind.

Immediately they drove off, the two policemen compelled the taxi driver to lie down in the back seat of the car and sat on him.

They seized his mobile phone, car key and handcuffed him and Michael. They proceeded to charge both the taxi driver and Michael with an undisclosed offence.

On their way to supposedly book them for the unknown offence, the two police officers accused Michael of being a criminal and the taxi driver his accomplice.

In his defence, Michael told the two police officers that the taxi driver was innocent, so Erasmus should pay him and allow him to go.

They then took a detour to Awudome roundabout, where they withdrew an amount of GHC600 from an MTN vendor under the pretext of paying the taxi driver but they refused to pay him.

Michael and Erasmus then alighted from the Nissan Almera and hurried to the spot where the victim’s car was parked and drove off.

The driver was eventually released by Francis and Bismarck after they had received confirmation from their accomplices that they had the car in their possession.

The victim managed to locate Cocoa Clinic with the help of a Good Samaritan, but his cab was nowhere to be found.

A report was immediately made to the Kaneshie Police.

However, on August 2 the suspects, through the same method, succeeded in snatching another taxi at North Industrial Area.

Through Police Intelligence, Michael, Bismarck and Francis were picked by the police.

Further investigations led to the arrest of Nana.
