Ghana teenage prodigy Evans Mensah has passed his medical with Finnish giants HJK Helsinki, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.
The 19-year-old, who was handed a place in Ghana’s senior national team in March, will now proceed to sign the contract with the club.
The deal is expected to be signed on Tuesday as he has already agreed on personal terms with the club.
His Ghanaian club Inter Allies have also agreed to the transfer sum which has not been made public.
Mensah will be shown around the club on Tuesday before he is unveiled to the fans and the media latest by Wednesday.
Inter Allies whizkid left Accra on Sunday night to travel to the Scandinavian country to sign the contract with the highly rated club.
The deal was brokered by Spanish agent Manuel Sierra, his company Futbal Division and their Ghanaian partners Soccertime Africa who are seeking to build Mensah’s career in Europe.
They will start him in Finland where he will get regular playing time before venturing to the top leagues of Europe.
He will join two other Ghanaians at the club Anthony Annan and Richard Gadze who have excelled so far this season is HJK Helsinki.
Mensah is also part of Ghana’s U20 squad.
He is highly rated in the Ghana Premier League after winning three man-of-the-match awards in five matches.
