Zongo for NDC, a group within the ruling National Democratic Congress, has been inaugurated at Yendi Constituency to canvass for votes for the party in the December polls

Yendi (N/R), Aug. 21, GNA – Zongo for NDC, a
group within the ruling National Democratic Congress, has been inaugurated at
Yendi Constituency to canvass for votes for the party in the December polls.

The Yendi chapter of Zongo for NDC is led by a
14-member executive tasked to mobilise support for the party within the Zongo
communities in the constituency to ensure a resounding victory during the
December polls.

Alhaji Sumaila Iddi, National Chairman of
Zongo for NDC, speaking during the inauguration of the Yendi Constituency
chapter of Zongo for NDC, urged all to rally behind President John Mahama and
all NDC parliamentary nominees to win the elections.

Alhaji Mohammed Ibrahim, Yendi Constituency
Chairman of NDC, said the party had made inroads into electoral areas
considered “no go areas for NDC” in the constituency adding some opposition
party members had also defected to join the NDC at the constituency.

Alhaji Ibrahim said Yendi needed peace, which
could be guaranteed by only the NDC government, appealing to all to retain the
party in power.

Mr Alhassan Abukari, Chairman of Zongo for
NDC, Yendi Constituency chapter, said the NDC offered hope and opportunities to
the people of the constituency calling on all to support and vote for the party
in the December polls.
