Ghana coach Avram Grant has refused to invite Sulley Muntari for Ghana’s final AFCON 2017 qualifier against Rwanda despite the veteran midfielder deciding to slap in an apology.
Grant named a 23 man squad on Friday without the former AC Milan and former Inter Milan hard working midfielder.
Muntari was indefinitely suspended from the national team after physically assaulting a management member during Ghana’s chaotic world cup campaign in Brazil.
His apology was seen by many as a window to return to the national team but Israeli coach Avram Grant has decided to look beyond the veteran midfielder at least for the game game against the Amaubi’s in September.
There are still some who believe that Muntari will part of Ghana’s team that will play at the AFCON in Gabon next January.
