5 Things You Should Know About Divine Oduduru

A few days ago, Divine came second in the men 200m heat race at the Rio 2016 Olympics. The World’s best Usain Bolt beat him with 0.06 seconds. Unfortunately, he didn’t make it to the finals. We’re proud of him all the same. Here are a few things you should know about him:

I know what you’re saying too, but Wikipedia has Divine’s age as 19. He was born on the 7th of October 1996.

He was a finalist in the 200 m at the 2013 World Youth Championships in Athletics. He won the 200 m at the 2013 African Junior Championships and was also a member of the Gold medal-winning 4 × 100 m relay quartet. He successfully defended his 200 m title at the 2015 African Junior Championships and also added the 100 m and 4 × 100 m gold medals to his tally.

Divine Ejowvokoghene Oduduru is from Sapele in Delta state. He was born however in Ughelli.

Divine was educated at the West End Mixed Secondary School in Delta state.

Divine currently has a personal best of 10.25s for the 100m and 20.34s for the 200m race.
