countries are Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria and Namibia. They would battle it out to
determine which team takes a step closer to the next Hockey World Cup in 2018.
The Blacks Sticks

to move into residential camping early next week, despite the absence of
financial support from Government.
Ghana’s Male and
Female teams would attempt to emerge tops at the competition to advance to the
second round of the competition in early 2017.
The tournament is
an opportunity for the teams to build ranking points in order to qualify for
the next Commonwealth Games.
The Association is
hopeful that with the selfless service of the players, technical team and
support from corporate entities, Ghana’s first major competition at home in
four years could put hockey back in the limelight in the wake of the
development of the sport in schools and communities.
