Reports of an imminent mass clear out at Accra Hearts of Oak appeared to have heightened tension within the playing body and thereby reducing the commitment level of the players.

Already some players fearing the worst are said to have adopted a lukewarm approach to the club’s duties.

One of such players, Robin Gnagne, who was named among a list of players whose contract expires at the end of the season is considered one of those unhappy with the development.

Gnagne missed the team’s trip to Wa ahead of their Premier League encounter against Wa All Stars on health grounds.

But fans of the club feared the move was a silent protest to the uncertainty of his( the player’s) future with the club since he was among the players mentioned.

However, Dr Nyaho-Nyaho Tamaklo, a board member of the club, who described the report as false has urged supporters of the club to ignore it since it had the tendency to blast the championship aspirations of the club.

Speaking to the Graphic Sports in an interview yesterday, Nyaho said the club had not taken any such decision and called on the players to disregard any such report and concentrate on their games.

“It is not true that players have been put on a transfer list and I want to assure them that the board was satisfied with their performance” he assured encouraging them to continue to give off their best to win the league.
