10 Life Choices You Will Regret In 10 Years And How To Avoid It

One of my favorite sayings is “had I know is always at last!”.

Why is it my fave? Well, these choices will ultimately prove this phrase right.

1. Being Lazy And Slacking.

Remember you came into this world to fulfill your destiny. Do not expect the world to give you a handout, you have to work hard for it. Stop wasting your time on prayers and thinking something is going to fall from the sky for you. You need to “get up, get out and get something!” Take full responsibility of your life because as Obama eloquently put it

“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

2. Waiting Until Tomorrow Before You Do It.

Tomorrow is not promised, but you already knew that. We often at times deceive ourselves into thinking that we have a lot of time ahead to get to it, but happens? One day you will wake up and realize all the time you thought you had is no more. Two options await you; accomplish your goals now or give your excuses on why you couldn’t do what you have always wanted to do.

3. Hiding Your True Identity To Impress The World.

You spend too much time living the life that others want you to live. Your whole existence is just a cover up of who you are, but how long are you going to hide? When you spend time trying to please others you eventually forget about pleasure yourself. People are going to judge you no matter, so why not do what’s in your heart? You don’t have to be perfect for others to accept you.

4. And Allowing Someone To Build Your Dreams For You.

A wise man once said, “the greatest challenge in life is discovering who you are, and the second greatest is being happy with what you find.” How can you persevere through this challenge if you are living others dreams? You might be called crazy at times but some of the things that you do, but do not worry it only means that you are walking your own true path.

5. Easily Giving Up.

Failures are part of life. If you don’t fail, you don’t learn. If you don’t learn you will never grow. Never throw in the towel even when the end seems far fetched. Success is connected with action because successful people are simply those who kept going. They made mistakes but it did not stop them. It’s a gradual step, but you have to keep grinding if you want to see the finish line.

6. Avoiding Change.

If you want to know your past just take a look at your present, what did yesterday got you to where you are today. In that same vein, if you want to know your future, just take a look at the actions you are currently taking. If something is not adding up, NOW is the best time to make adjustments not tomorrow.

7. Being Selfish And An Egomaniac.

When you are no more people will not remember what you gave them, but how you made them feel when they were around you. What do you want your tombstone to say? What you do for yourself will die with you, but what you do for others will continue to live on forever.

8. Keeping Negative Energies Around You.

Never let someone’s bad aroma drown you. Don’t let negative and naysayers get to you. Remember they have no real influence on you until you give them the power to. When you rid yourself of negativity, you evolve into a positive character. You love instead of hate, you become generous instead of greedy and the world wins!

9. Taking Life Too Seriously.

Somethings you have to kick your feet up, relax and let life happen without you trying to put everything in its rightful order. You don’t have to always know where you are going, what matters is that you get going. Life at it is is in its perfect harmony whether you understand it or not. Sometimes it might take a while before you are able to connect the dots, and that’s OK.

10. Settling For Less Than You Deserve.

The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settled for. Life is not about how many times you fall down. It’s about how many times you get back up. Never ever settle!
