Unemployed remanded for inflicting wounds on co-tenant

Accra, Aug. 15, GNA –
Hannah Dadson, unemployed, who inflicted deep cuts on the face and arms of a
co-tenant with blade after verbally abusing her at Teshie has been put before
an Accra Circuit Court.

Ms. Dadson, who has
been charged with causing harm, has pleaded not guilty.

The court, presided
over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku, remanded her into Police custody to
reappear on August 19.

Detective Inspector
Kofi Atimbire, the prosecutor, told the court that the complainant Sarah Coka
is a co-tenant of the accused.

The complainant and
accused person, according to the prosecutor, are not in good talking terms.

On August 2, this
year, Ms Coka was washing in the evening and overheard Ms Dadson insulting her.
She approached Ms Dadson to ascertain from her why she was insulting her.

Prosecution said Ms
Dadson got furious, entered her room and brought out a sharp blade. She pounced
on the complainant and inflicted cuts on her face and parts of her arms.

Detective Inspector
Atimbire said the complainant escaped and lodged a complainant with the
Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit at the Nungua Police Station.

The complainant was
issued with a medical form to seek medical attention while the police followed
up and arrested Ms Dadson.
