We can’t afford to be minority in the next parliament – Bagbin

The Majority Leader in Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin says the NDC cannot afford to be the minority in the next parliament warning that it will be inimical to the smooth execution of President John Dramani Mahama’s transformational and changing lives agenda.

He said president Mahama’s victory in the forthcoming elections is indisputable and that the party ought to work hard to retain its majority stake in parliament.

He said there are serious uncertainties regarding the NDC retaining its Majority stake adding that the reasons are obvious and needing no mention.

He therefore called on the NDC’s national Campaign Committee to intervene.

That he said will ensure the NDC win in constituencies in which there are so much uncertainty as to whether the incumbent Members of Parliament could win or not.

He said the party needs not more than two/thirds in parliament. “I want to repeat this a target less than a two/third majority in parliament is imperative for this party.”
