Posters demanding answers regarding the death of late president John Evans Attah Mills have emerged in some areas in Cape Coast, the Central regional capital ahead of NDC’s campaign launch in that region.
The posters are seen at places such as Pedu junction, Abura, Adisadel, Moree barrier, Aggrey Memorial SHS, Cape Coast-Takoradi highway and around new the Cape Coast stadium, the venue for the campaign launch.
It is not clear who are behind the pasting of the posters at the time the party is launching its campaign at the home region of the late professor.
But one thing is clear; they want to know the circumstances surrounding the late president’s death as evidenced in the message on the poster with the photograph of the late president.
Late President Mills died in June 2012 in the heat of that year’s elections paving the way for his vice, now president John Dramani Mahama to assume the mantle of leadership.
President Mahama was subsequently elected by the NDC to lead them into the elections which were six months away, an election he won amidst allegations of vote rigging from the opposition NPP.
