TWITTER appeared to crash this morning because of a technical problem.
The social media site displayed a message reading “Something is technically wrong” from around 8.30am.
It added: “Thanks for noticing—we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.”
Twitter users took to Facebook to vent about the outage.
Richard Johnson wrote: “I’ve had to come on to facebook to moan about twitter being down, honestly what is the world coming to?”
Natalie Goddard added: “Um, anyone else experiencing problems with Twitter this morning, both on the web browser and on the app?”
And Md Zakariya Haque Limon wrote: “What happened to twitter?? Come On! Fix it qucikly!”
The glitch had been fixed by 9.40am. But by 11am the system was displaying the “Something is technically wrong” message again.
