Striker Richmond Boakye will not be returning to his parent club Atalanta in the Serie A despite abrogating his loan deal with Roda JC, his agent has exclusively revealed to GHANASoccernet.com.

The 22-year-old claimed he was unhappy at the Dutch Eredivisie side after falling out with head coach Darije Kalezic.

“There are options and we are looking at them but Atalanta is out. The transfer window just opened so Boakye will be given a good deal to prove himself again,” agent Oliver Arthur told GHANASoccernet.com

Boakye made nine appearances for Roda JC but uncharacteristically could not find the back of the net.

He had proven himself at Sassuolo (twice) and Spanish Primera Division side Elche where he was top scorer during a loan spell for the 2013/2014 season.

Boakye must revive his flagging career to chart his way back into Ghana squad for the remainder of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
