WAFA’s Samuel Tetteh has expressed mix feelings over his Black Stars of Ghana debut call-up following his exploits in the junior national teams.

On Thursday, the head coach of the Black Stars, Avram Grant handed the 19 year old winger a debut call up as the former Chelsea boss officially released his 23 man squad for the two legged affair of the 2018 world cup qualifiers against Comoros this month.

The inclusion of Samuel Tetteh came as a surprise to many as the young attacker has expressed mix feelings over his debut Black Stars call-up.

‘My call-up came as a surprise to me and I also felt happy for that because there were equally good players around and for me to get a call-up I was surprise and I will not disappoint the coach when he gives me a starting role,’ Tetteh told Asempa Fm.

Tetteh was recently part of the Local Black Stars team that failed to seal a qualification to Rwanda 2016 CHAN tourney after they got crushed out on a 2-2 aggregate by Ivory Coast through the away goal rule.
