As expected, after the sad demise of Joan Rivers, chief anchor of the Fashion Police show since 2010. At the moment, the future of the widely watched TV fashion show is uncertain.

Issuing two statements, E! said the network and its stars needed to mourn the loss of the sharp tongued comedian and the driving force of the program before a decision could be made.

A spokesperson for E! confirmed that no decisions were being made yet: ‘Right now we are mourning our beloved Joan. We will respond at a later date with programming updates

Earlier on Thursday, prior to the announcement the 81-year-old had passed away, E! said in the immediate future, the popular show will be on a two week hiatus.

‘E! will not be producing a new Fashion Police this week or next. Instead, we will be airing two E! From Fashion Week specials that will deliver the latest news and information from the highly-anticipated event.’

Late Joan has been a guarding force of the fashion and style programme alongside co-hosts Giuliana Rancic, Kelly Osbourne and George Kotsiopoulos. She will truly be missed. May she rest in perfect peace.
