Government Requested For Black Stars Technical Advisor – Mahama Ayariga

Ghana’s Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga has confirmed that government requested for a Black Stars technical advisor to be appointed.

The Ghana Football Association set up a three-man committee to find the suitable candidate and have shortlisted Serb Milovan Rajevac and Flemming Serritslev out of 16 applicants.

Some football fans have criticized this decision and accused the Ghana FA of trying to impose senior man on head coach Kwesi Appiah.

But the Sports Ministry has absorbed the Kwesi Nyantakyi-led of any blame saying decision to strengthen the technical team of the national team came from government.

“The truth of the matter is that government is very interested in the welfare of the Black Stars and all the national teams,” Ayariga told Joy Sports.

“Government remains very committed to ensuring that the Black Stars and all the national teams get the highest quality of coaching that Ghana can afford and the highest quality of technical support.

“But ultimately the decision about the implementation is for the Ghana Football Association so ultimately the responsibility is theirs.”
