Okrah Crowned Footballer Of The Year

Augustine Okrah of Bechem United was crowned the Best Footballer of the 2013/2014 First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL) at the Banquet Hall on Saturday.

The striker aided his side to a fifth position in the Top Ghanaian flight to beat strong contenders Seidu Bancey of Asante Kotoko, and New Edubiase’ Ssiedu Attobrah for the envied prize to succeed Mahatma Otto who won it in the previous season.

Okrah currently away in Sweden on trials scored 16 goals out of the 30 matches to also win the highest goal scorer in the league.

Masud Dramani added another glory to his achievements after he emerged the league’s Best Coach of the season after he guided his charges to be crowned the MTN FA Cup Champions and the FCPPL winners.

He stole the competition from Herbert Addo who guided his side to be runners up in the MTN FA Cup competition and to a sixth place after beating the relegation zone and Yusif Abubakar of Heart of Lions who were second on the last league log.

In the Best Goalkeeper category, Stephen Adams, who was phenomenal in the CHAN tournament in South Africa and also earned a call up to the Black Stars emerged the best goalkeeper of the season.
