Accra, Aug. 19, GNA – Mr Ismaila Ali Horoya, aspiring organiser of National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ayawaso East, has promised to institute an action plan with support of the national executives to respond to the needs of party supporters.

He also pledged to unite the supporters to retain power in the 2016 general election and harness and mobilise executives and supporters in the constituency to ensure the implementation of the vision and plans of the area.

In an interview with Ghana News Agency in Accra, he said, the Ayawaso East constituency has been loyal to the party since 1996 general election, but had seen little improvement in area of developmental projects and job creation for the youth.

Mr Horoya said party supporters are discerning, hence the need for the leadership of the political entity to create an enabling environment for the youth by providing job opportunities and instituting skills development projects.

He explained that as a result of weak organisational qualities in the constituency, some loyal and faithful NDC supporters had defected to the New Patriotic Party and promised to mobilise to bring them back when given the nod.

He suggested the need for the  party’s  hierarchy in the constituency to identify loyal and committed supporters for effective campaigning to recapture power in 2016.

Mr Horaya observed that leadership is about service, commitment and dedication and as such would avail himself to the party supporters for meetings.

He urged the electorate not to be swayed by money, but look for competent and efficient leader.
