Appiah was handed the opportunity to nominate two persons to be considered for appointment as a technical adviser of the Black Stars. The GFA three man committee is set to meet at 10:00am
Ghanasportsonline.com can reveal that, coach Kwasi Appiah initially selected Ghana Football Association technical director Francis Oti Akenten and technical committee member Sam Addy but rumours were that the two were deemed not fit enough for the job and thus would be rejected by GFA three-man committee.
The two initial choices were arrived at after the Black Stars head coach had consultations with Ben Koufie and some other eminent technical men.
But during the weekends, another meeting was held in Accra where Ben Koufie, a CAF technical director and a former Ghana FA boss opted to have his name put up for consideration by the GFA three member committee.
Koufie, if approved for consideration will come up against Serbian trainer Radmilo Ivančević who is closing in on the job as the technical adviser to Black Stars coach.
The three-man committee is headed by the GFA vice-president Fred Crentsil, who will work with Fred Pappoe and Francis Oti Akenteng and the group is expected to submit its report to the Executive committee on Monday 10:00am.
