Boy, 11, Stabs Dad To Death

The Nima police in Accra have begun investigation into the bizarre circumstances under which an 11-year-old boy allegedly split his father’s belly, causing his death.

The belly of the deceased, Adam Osman, 38, was allegedly split open by his son at about 3:00 am on Monday when the latter was asleep at Maamobi, a suburb of Accra.

Reports say the boy had dreamt having stabbed his dad and truly, when he woke up from his sleep, he allegedly perpetrated the act.

Confirming the incident to DAILY GUIDE, Chief Superintendent Jango Nuhu, Nima Divisional Police Commander, said the child, after the act, was scared and so rushed to inform his (the boy’s) uncle of what had happened to his father (the deceased).

According to Chief Superintendent Nuhu, the child had told the police that he had a dream that he had visited his grandmother in which he (the body) had split an animal.

The Nima Divisional Police Commander further stated that when the boy woke up from the dream, he allegedly carried out the act, adding that Osman was pronounced death on arrival at the 37 Military Hospital.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the 37 Military Hospital awaiting autopsy.
