Akwaboah Warming Up To Blow

The die for a soothing music for the heart and soul is cast and once again it spots on the living legend of our time, the gentleman whose talent in music knows no boundaries, that unparalleled singer and songwriter whose compositions are just a step away from perfection… Yes, that is the man Akwaboah.

After earning an envious nomination in the New Artiste of the Year category at this year’s Vodafon Ghana Music Awards which did spark loads of controversies, Akwaboah has been working tirelessly in preparation for his debut album.

Akwaboah in the past few months had the opportunity to work and interact with some of the greatest music brains on the African continent which has immensely added up to his music know how by way of composition and music arrangement, voice training, song writing, keyboard control, performance among others.

Akwaboah has also prominently staged performances for a number of corporate and private events . On the public entertainment front, his opening act at the Night of 1018 Laughs which attracted an unending

round of applause sealed the fact that, Akwaboah is not only a unique singer and songwriter but also a great performer. The smooth silky voiced singer is set to release a highlife single on his debut album by close of the week.

As a well arranged, mid tempo and danceable piece which features Steve Bedi on his sax, one cannot help but to involuntarily and instantaneously move or shake the body in an attempt to dance.

Coming from a solid highlife background as far as his father, Kojo Akwaboah and his grandfather Kwabena Akwaboah are concerned, Akwaboah’s highlife single titled “Medo” (My Love) gives a true reflection of his image, ideals , future and what the genre he stands for musically.

On hearing or listening to the song which was recorded by budding music producer Martino, what one could possibly think of is a solid and a confirmed nomination on the Best Highlife Song and Best Male Vocal lists for next year’s Vodafon Music Award.
