Ghana’s rising comedian, Richard Kwaku Asante, popularly known as Kalybos, has disclosed on Hitz FM over the weekend that stardom has indeed taught him to be humble and how to better handle people in life.

Speaking to Mic Gizo, the host of Showbiz Today, Kalybos declared that even though he is a star, he would continue to patronise second-hand clothing at the market as he used to do previously.

He also used the interview platform to launch his maiden song titled ‘Myself’, which narrates his days as a cameraman with the movie producer, Shirley Frimpong Manso of Sparrows Productions, where he worked for three years before finally laying a hand on comedy.

During his days as a cameraman, Kalybos said he developed a great interest in acting because he had the opportunity to meet many of the Ghanaian movie stars on set.

He told Mic Gizo that during his second year in National Film And Television Institute (NAFTI), he met Kofi Asamoah, a course mate who was a movie director and producer, who expressed interest in working with him.

Kalybos added that merging with Kofi Asamoah to come up with the ‘Boys Kasa’ concept has indeed been inspiring.
