VOTE FOR CREDIBLE ASPIRANT AND REJECT BRIBES

Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) Honourable Kofi Osei Ameyaw has called on party delegates to choose a flagbearer who can bring back the party to power in the upcoming 2016 elections because the party cannot stand to loose again to the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC). He has however advised them to choose someone who has massive support at the grassroot since they are the pillar of every political party.

Hon. Osei Ameyaw made these statements when he interacted with some party delegates in the Volta region this weekend.

Hon. Osei Ameyaw who also doubles as Member of Parliament of Asuogyaman constituency appealed to delegates to vote for him as the flagbearer of the party due to his track records of strengthening grassroot support, in terms of creating jobs as well as supporting the party at all times. He urged delegates to consider him him as the best choice because he has majority support at the grasroot level and also posseses the qualities of a unifier since his ethnical background also cuts across the length and breath of the country.

He therefore called for a review of the party’s constitution in order to strengthen the structures of the party by giving majority of supporters the right to choose a flagbearer as well as party executives. He was therefore not in support of the upcoming “super delegates” congrress for because it is not the first time many people are contesting the flagbearership race but was optimistic he would be in the final five aspirants to be selected.

Hon. Osei Ameyaw also toured some registration centres in his constituency and cautioned the Electoral Commission to make sure all party agents are well and equally updated on data in order to have a credible data for the 2016 elections. He said thr NPP is not ready to go to court again and therefore called on the EC to be professional as far as the registration is concerned.

He also appealed to all party supporters who did not register in last year’s exercise and those who had just eighteen to register as a guarantee of bringing back the power.

However, NPP’s first vice chairman and deputy Speaker of Parliament Hon. Freddy was spotted with the 2012 presidential hopeful in Ho.
