Why Is Mahama Still Keeping Terpker And Wampah—Worried Dr. Ampaw Queries

Ace Ghanaian legal practitioner and President of the Legal Advocacy Foundation, Dr. Maurice Ampaw is demanding the immediate resignation of the Governor of the Bank of Ghana Dr. Henry Kofi Wampah and the Finance Minister Hon.Seth Terkper.

He said their inability to stop the continuous depreciation of the cedi against the major trading currency (dollar) in the world is an indication that they have failed and must not be allowed to occupy such positions.

Speaking in an interview, the ace Ghanaian legal practitioner insisted that the Governor Dr. Wampah and the Finance Minister Mr. Terpker must resign since they cannot ensure the effective implementation of policies to save the cedi from falling.

“Right now the Governor of the Bank of Ghana (BoG), so far has failed in the implementation of two of his economic policies and if we werea serious country and individuals he should have resigned by now, Wampah must resign this will never happen in Britain” he maintained.

The outspoken legal practitioner said Mahama should sack Terpker, “in fact, remove him and put him as a presidential staffer,”

He was of the view that if little accomplished officers are ‘fired’ when they are not performing, they will learn from their mistakes.

He added that the President must bring on board competent people who can help him solve the current challenges the nation is facing.
