The Ghana Police Service has begun shortlisting the backlog of candidates who applied for enlistment since 2012.

According to a statement signed by the Director-General/Public Affairs, DCOP Rev David N. Ampah-Bennin, the exercise which includes aptitude test, medical examination and vetting, is on-going and the last batch are to go through the necessary processes with effect from Friday,  August 8, 2014.

The shortlisted applicants, the statement pointed out, have been informed through the established communication channels for such purposes to report for the exercise.

‘For the purposes of emphasis, the Police Service wishes to indicate that this is not a fresh recruitment, therefore individuals who are not part of the shortlisted candidates should stay away from the exercise,’ the statement stressed.

The public is being advised to be wary of recruitment fraudsters who would present themselves as middlemen to defraud them, as no agent(s) have been contracted to recruit on its behalf.
